Madiba Consult GmbH, which operates this website, takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this Data Privacy Statement. It is possible to use our website without providing personal data. Please note that data transmission over the internet (for example when communicating by email) may be subject to security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
Registration and enquiries via the form
When you use the interest / registration form, we process the data you provide: name, company, position, sector, objective for joining, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, and an optional message. This data is stored in a database hosted in the European Union and used solely to handle your enquiry.
To confirm your registration we use a double-opt-in procedure: you receive a confirmation email containing a one-time link. This email is sent via an EU-based email provider (Brevo, Sendinblue SAS, France). Your consent only takes effect once you confirm. For this purpose we store the version and language of the consent text, a checksum of that text version, and the time of consent.
The legal basis for processing is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and the performance of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Your data is not disclosed to third parties without your express consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example by email to info@maba.co.
Retention period
The confirmation link is valid for 7 days. If a registration remains unconfirmed, we delete it no later than 30 days after we receive it. Confirmed enquiries are stored for up to 24 months from your registration and deleted thereafter, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise. If you withdraw your consent or request erasure, we delete your data without undue delay.
Server log files
The provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, and the time of the server request. This data cannot be attributed to specific individuals and is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Cookies
This website only uses technically necessary cookies, for example to store your language selection (German/English). These cookies do not harm your computer and contain no viruses. No tracking, analytics or advertising cookies and no third-party services (such as Google Analytics or social media plugins) are used. You can set your browser to notify you about the use of cookies and to allow cookies only in individual cases or exclude them entirely.
Your rights
You may at any time request information about the processing of your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR) and request the correction (Art. 16 GDPR) or deletion (Art. 17 GDPR) of your data. You may also request the restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), the transfer of your data to third parties (Art. 20 GDPR), and object to the processing (Art. 21 GDPR). Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority: Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW), www.ldi.nrw.de. Alternatively you may contact datenschutzbeauftragter@bonn.de.
Objection to promotional emails
The use of the contact information published in the Imprint to send unsolicited advertising and informational materials is herewith prohibited. The operators of this website expressly reserve the right to take legal steps in the event that unsolicited advertising materials are sent, for example through spam emails.
